Hazira, Surat District, Gujarat: Essar Bulk Terminals Limited (EBTL) and Essar Foundation, Hazira organized a workshop on science experiments and models for teachers from government-run primary schools on January 6, 2014 at Hazira. This initiative was undertaken as part of the Foundation’s impetus to improve quality of education in government run primary schools.
Science teachers from 15 schools in the Hazira industrial area were trained during the workshop on experiments and models, which are part of the science syllabus. Mr Anjani Kant Mishra, Chief Operating Officer, EBTL, Mr Vikas Singh, Head, Human Resources and Administration, EBTL and Education Officer, Choryasi taluka, Surat district were present at the workshop. Special trainers from the education department, government of Gujarat were invited to address the queries of teachers in the one-day event.
