
The competition covered three groups and separate themes were given to each of them. The theme for those in standards I to IV was ‘Color in predefined drawings;’ the theme for the second category, comprising students in standards V to VII, was ‘Ideal village,’ and for those studying in standards VIII to X, the theme was ‘Road safety – life safety.’
About 120 children enthusiastically participated in the competition. They were creative and tried to explain the concepts and their thoughts through the drawings.
Professional art teachers helped select the winning drawings. Mitesh Shah, CEO, Essar Steel Pune, along with his wife, graced the event as chief guests and distributed prizes to the winners. He announced that the winning drawings will be used on greeting cards sent to employees on their birthdays.
Mukund Jagirdar, Head-HR, Essar Steel Pune, urged children to accept the challenge of such contests and continue to participate in future events.
A magic show was also held and the children were thrilled both by the contest and the show.
