Vadinar Marine Terminal wins certificate of appreciation from Kandla Port

The Kandla Port Trust (KPT) in Gujarat has for the first time achieved an annual cargo throughput of 100 million tonnes (FY 2015-16). Of this, 30 million tonnes was contributed by Essar Ports’ marine terminal in Vadinar—an achievement that has earned it a certificate of appreciation from KPT.

Vadinar Oil Terminal Ltd (VOTL), which operates the marine terminal, is part of the Kandla Port Trust. The VOTL CEO, Capt. Deepak Sachdeva, and Capt. Alok Kumar, Head-Marine Operation, received the award from Mr Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Shipping, at a ceremony held at Gandhidham, Gujarat, on 31 May 2016.
