On September 13, the Essar Foundation organized for 10 children of a local Hazira (Gujarat) school to participate in the Science Fair held by the Surat District Panchayat and Education Committee.
The Foundation provided support and transportation for the group to attend the annual fair held at Godadara village, Surat (80 km from Hazira village).
The exhibition is held in a different district of the state each year, with the aim of promoting an interest in science among children. It also allows the village students to interact with and share a platform with over 88 schools of Surat district.
The Essar Foundation lent its support to the school as part of its education program, where it regularly undertakes and supports initiatives that boost the overall development of children in remote, rural areas.
