The award ceremony was preceded by elaborate panel discussions on topics such as Economic Geography and Competitiveness, and The Inner Game of Success - Mindfulness for Leaders. The event was organized by the Institute of Competitiveness and brought together industry leaders, thinkers and eminent academic figures. Mr Shashi Ruia, Chairman, Essar was the keynote speaker at the event. He addressed an audience that comprised of industry leaders from across the nation and the globe.
The Porter Prize is named after Professor Michael E Porter, a Harvard faculty member and a leading authority on competitive strategy. It is awarded after a robust three-stage process that includes making an application, strategy audit and jury evaluation.
