Mumbai, 20 Aug, 2015: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Western Region organized the second edition of the Conference on Inclusive Growth and Sustainability along with a Best Practices Case Study Competition recently.
The conference included panel discussions on topics like - Responsible Growth in the ‘Make in India’ era, Renewable Energy, and Sustainability. The panel discussions were followed by presentations of the top six case studies shortlisted from fifty two entries.
Essar Foundation received the ‘Best Practices on Water’ award in this Case Study Competition. The presentation made by Essar Foundation described the Comprehensive Water Management Initiatives in Jamnagar and Devbhoomi Dwarka Districts in Gujarat.
It also included an overview of the social, geological and hydrological context of water in 15 villages of coastal Saurashtra region where the initiatives are currently ongoing, their approach and strategy and the impact on the lives of the members of the community.
