Essar Industrial Training Institute at Telkoi celebrated its first annual day on August 30, 2013. The students of Essar ITI welcomed guests in a traditional way. The program began by introducing the dignitaries to the audience and lighting the lamp.

Acting Principal Mr Debendra Satapathy read out the detailed annual report of the institute. Manoj Kumar Patra, a student of Essar ITI, gave a wonderful account of his experience at the institute, hostel and spoke emphatically about the quality education provided by Essar ITI.
On behalf of the Essar Foundation, Mr Niladri Parhi, DGM, spoke of how the institute has developed in a record time of one year due to the efforts of the Essar management. Col. SG Vashisht, Head Essar ITI, Telkoi, lauded the efforts of the staff, students and the management in overcoming the challenges so far. He stated that with the kind of strides the ITI was making, it would not take too long to attain the highest standards of technical education in the state of Odisha.Guest of honor Mr Subash C Mishra, Project Director, Essar Steel Ltd, Dabuna, lauded the students’ progress. Mr AK Mallick appreciated the institute saying that the ITI will play a great role in the development process of Telkoi Block, as it was filling the gap between education and skills of the youth.
Winners of various activities and competitions were handed over prizes by the guests. The event ended with the ITI students performing interesting songs, folk dance and a one-act play. Essar ITI at Telkoi is one of the most successful initiatives in the public-private partnership mode to provide technical education and enhance employability of the youth in an under-developed block.![]() | ![]() |
