A health camp was organized by Essar Foundation in collaboration with Essar Bulk Terminal Paradeep (a subsidiary of Essar Ports Limited) on 27 July 2013 at Bijayachandpur village of Nuagarh gram panchayat.
A team of four specialist doctors (medicine, paediatric, skin and dental), two nurses and three pharmacists participated in the camp. Ten youth volunteers from the Vivekananda Youth Club of the village and three volunteers from Essar companies at Paradeep and the Essar Foundation team were also present.
Others present included elected members of the gram panchayat and the village committee members. The camp, held at the local school, was inaugurated by Mr R.K. Panda, block development officer of Kujanga Block.
In all, 270 patients from the villages availed of the services at the camp. They included 153 women, 99 children.
