August 9, 2015, Visakhapatnam: As part of its initiatives towards promoting and popularizing Indian cultural and performing arts, Essar Foundation extended its support to the 14th edition of the Annual National Eminence Award function in Vishakhapatnam.
The function marked a week-long festival celebrating the finest impulses of music, dance and drama. It brought together many artists and performers from across the country. Mr. S. Venkatesan - CEO, Essar Steel India Ltd., Vizag Operations was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
During the festival, Essar Foundation helped organize a stunning performance of Grand Carnatic Vocals by noted exponent, Dr. (Smt.) Jayashri Ramanath and her team. The week-long event featured other notable performances including a Violin duet by Dwaram Durga Prasada Rao and Dwaram Satyanarana Rao, Hindustani instrumental by Pandit Subrata De and Tadepalli Lokanadha Sarma, Bharatanatyam ballet by Rajeswari Sainath and her disciples and a play by Young Men’s Happy Club of Kakinada, ‘Desamunu Preminchumanna’. The event was appreciated by all the attendees.
