On December 9, 2011, a group of Essarites from the Essar Projects
team working on the Matix Fertilisers project in Durgapur,
spent the day with children of an orphanage nearby.
Run by the Purbachal Anand Foundation, the orphanage is located at a place called Barjora, in District Bankura, about
20 km from the Durgapur site.
During the visit the team distributed blankets to the children and also provided kitchen utensils for the Home.
