Promoting good health
The Essar Foundation has initiated a number of programs and activities focused on health and health education. The Foundation has partnered with the Jamnagar district administration and Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) to combat malnutrition challenges in Gujarat. Employee volunteers work with anganwadi workers to improve their nutrition awareness.

The Foundation has also launched the Shishu Mangalam project in partnership with the Jamnagar district administration. This program tackles the problem of malnutrition in children in the Khambhaliya taluk of Jamnagar. With plans of targeting nearly 5,000 malnourished children over a period of three months, the project has roped in doctors and other medical experts to participate in diagnostic camps. An independent impact assessment will be conducted after three months to validate the outcome and define the way ahead.

Caring for the Earth
Environment awareness is another cause that is close to the heart at Essar Foundation.
