Essar Foundation was recognized for its commitment to social sustainability at the National Quality Excellence Awards. The Foundation won the award for ‘Best
Corporate Social Responsibility Practice’ at the ceremony at Taj Lands
End, Mumbai on February 15, 2012. The awards were organized and presented by
the Stars of the Industry Group.
The Stars of the Industry Awards program was created to honor and celebrate outstanding service and achievements in every industry. It recognizes employees, managers, properties and businesses that best symbolize the highest quality service of the industry. All nominees are judged on performance that goes above and beyond normal job responsibilities with outstanding or unusual service to the property, guests, customers or community. Corporate Social Responsibility is hence an important category in the award concept.
Deepak Arora, VP- Essar Foundation, accepted the award from Jonathan Peters, Founder, Stars of the Industry Group. Mr Peters was highly appreciative of Essar Foundation and its commitment to the community.
