The Essar Foundation team in Pune and Essar Agrotech organized an awareness session on women's health to observe International Women's Day. The session was held on March 9, 2015, at N.K Ruia Secondary School in Tungi village at Lonavala, Maharashtra. The event was organized for mothers of students of the school and included how to deal with adolescent children.

The session was conducted by a subject expert, Ms Sunita Kamble, Field Work Supervisor, Department of Social Work at the Tilak Maharashtra University. She told 50 participants about the importance of healthy practices and nutrition for women's health. The session focused on issues that children face during adolescence and what role a mother plays during this time. The women shared their experiences and asked Ms Kamble questions to understand the topic in depth. A discussion was also held on the issue of child marriage and how it could be prevented.
