In the face of a challenging business scenario coupled with a sluggish economy, Essar Projects’ (EPIL’s) Essar Heavy Engineering Services (EHES) team, upped the ante to achieve its highest ever order booking of Rs. 500 crores. The orders have been bagged through competitive bidding against some of the largest national and international companies.
The bulk of the orders are from renowned companies, like Dangote Refinery (Nigeria), Kinetic Technology (Russia), Internal Thermal Technology KI (Egypt), Larsen & Tubro, Zeeco Global, FLSmidth (Saudi Arabia), and Indian industry majors, Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL), Indian Oil (IOCL), and NTPC.
The significance of the orders lies not only in terms of value, but also in terms of the stringent quality requirements, and complexities in manufacturing, sizes and metallurgies. EHES will accommodate more than 180 equipments within its existing facility. Some of the equipment to be fabricated are 10 m. in diameter and as large as 55 m. in length, with complex metallurgy, such as Alloy 20, and Inconel. These equipments will also undergo rigorous quality checks. Some of them require to be pneumatically tested at 50 bars, a force equivalent to the blast of a heavy explosive!

EHES is developing its capabilities that will position itself in the top 5 fabricators in India by:

Add to this the confidence, energy and dedication that the team brings to EHES. making it to the Top 5 in the country, is simply a matter of time.
