The Pipelines & Terminals SBU, along with Essar Steel Limited, organized a two-day relief camp in the state of Orissa on September 25 and September 27, 2011, for flood-affected villagers. The heavy monsoon rains that battered Orissa for weeks caused widespread flooding, submerging about 2,600 villages and leaving millions displaced.

Day 1 of the flood campaign was organized at Hatdiha Block, Anandapur, Keonjhar District, which reached out to flood-affected villagers belonging to the Mugpur, Bancho, Khadisahi, Tarva, Gabagada and Tartara areas. Day 2 was organized at Ramchandrapur, Ghasipura Constituency of the Keonjhar District.

Many useful amenities like tarpaulin (360 bundles), clothes (2,000 pairs), food grains, mineral water bottles etc. were distributed to the affected. State cabinet minister Bhadrinarayan Patra and the MLA of Anandhpur constituency also visited the relief camp to extend their support.
