
The camp was conducted by Dr Jyoti Kutel, a dentist, and Dr J Patre, Medical Officer at the District Hospital in Dantewada. Apart from conducting check-ups, they educated the villagers on measures that need to be followed for good oral hygiene, proper techniques for brushing and the significance of a good diet. An interactive lecture was also conducted for students and teachers of Gurukul Girls Residential School to ensure practice of good oral hygiene.

Around 300 students attended the camp, out of which 52 were found with tooth problems that were treated. Twelve students were referred to the District Hospital for treatment. All the participating students were also provided with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Essar staff; Father Tom VJ, the Principal of Gururkul Girls Residential School; and some teachers provided support for the camp.
