Fifty rural youth from villages surrounding the CBM Raniganj Block joined the
third batch of soft skill training programme, which began on July 12. Eight of
the 50 new trainees were girls and almost half from SC/ST communities. Most of
them have passed standards X or XII and aspire to an array of employment opportunities
with relevant skills.
Two batches of 50 students each had already undergone the training and there
was a record of 80 per cent placement. 
Officials from Essar Foundation, Corporate Affairs & Security of Essar Oil
Limited, Durgapur and B-Able were present at the event and had an interactive
session with the trainees. They motivated them with stories of success. The
event ended with tee-shirts, bags and educational materials being distributed
to the students of the third batch.
