Acknowledging the significance of art for children, Essar Foundation and Essar Bulk Terminal Limited (EBTL) organized a drawing competition at Hazira Primary School in Gujarat on July 16, 2014. This was preceded by an orientation and discussion with the students about the different ways in which they could express their imagination and creativity.
150 students from classes 5 to 8 chose ‘Environment and Industrial Growth’ as the subject of the competition and made a variety of drawings around it. Essar felicitated the winners who were chosen by the school management committee. Several other students were also given certificates of appreciation and awards.

The students were felicitated by Mr Anjani Kant, Chief Operating Officer, EBTL, Hazira and Mr Vikas Singh, Head, Admin and HR, EBTL, Hazira. The Primary Education Officer and Inspector of Choryasi taluka, as well as Panchayat representatives of Hazira were also present at the function.
