Essar Foundation and EBTL Hazira initiate career guidance program for students

Essar Foundation with Essar Bulk Terminal Limited (EBTL), Hazira has designed a program that aims to increase awareness of opportunities for further study and employment; inform students about eligibility requirements for different courses, programs and institutions, and share knowledge on how to access financial aid.


The first career guidance and counseling session was held at Nav Jagruti Vidhya Vihar School in Hazira by Mr Deepak Berry, VP, Finance and Accounts, EBTL, Hazira and Mr Vikas Singh, Head, Administration and HR, EBTL, Hazira.

During the event, 26 students of class 9 were divided in two groups for a thorough one-on-one discussion along with their parents. The students learnt how to identify and work towards their career goals in a field that interests them. They were also guided about the qualifications and competitive exams required for various careers. Mr Berry emphasized on the importance of regular meditation for an efficient mind and body, improved concentration and learning ability. He also advised the students on how to overcome obstacles related to studies or personal problems.

Thanking the Essar team, Dr Mitesh H Parikh, Principal of Nav Jagruti Vidhya Vihar School said such initiatives will help school students.
