2 October, 2015: Essar Foundation and Essar Steel, Kirandul celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with the students from the local government school in Palnar village, Dantewada district. Essar Foundation organised a fun drawing competition for the students at the all-girls school.
Close to a hundred students participated in the competition which carried the theme ‘Gandhi’ – his life and his struggle for freedom. The idea was to create an informative and fun activity for the young students, while helping them learn about Indian history. The best three drawings from each class were selected and the students were awarded for their efforts.
