Essar Foundation and Essar Logistics collaborated with the District Primary Education Department of Surat to distribute uniforms to students from three primary schools in Hazira, Gujarat, in support of the
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan (Education for All Movement), a Government of India initiative. An event was organized on April 15, 2015, at the Hazira Primary School, which was attended by senior executives from Essar and government officials. Over 500 students from the primary section to Class 8 of five schools also attended the event. A cultural performance staged by students was a highlight of the event.
